The Believers is official executing partner of the project HIGH FASHION LOW COUNTRIES, future crafts and sustainable design in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Javier Barcala together with fashion consultant and curator Eve-Marie Kuijstermans are the curators of this project that brings together the concepts of sustainable fashion, innovation and craftsmanship.
The project is organized by The Dutch Embassy in Belgium, in partnership with the most prestigious fashion and design institutions from both countries Flanders Fashion Institute, Amsterdam Fashion Week (The Green Fashion Competition), de Brakke Grond, Brussels Mode And Design centre (MAD), Modo Brussels Parcours, the Dutch Fashion Foundation and high-end fashion stores RA (Antwerp), Haleluja (Brussels) and SPRMRKT (Amsterdam).

The Believers' founder and creative director Javier Barcala will give a lecture on sustainable fashion and image-making at the Designhuis Museum of Eindhoven, as part of the exhibition A Fashion Odyssey organized by Premsela, The Nederlands Institute for Fashion and Design. The event is oriented to design students and industry insiders, coproduced with ArtEZ Institute of the Arts and coincides with the Netherlands museum weekend.
